One these days late January 2026

One these days late January 2026

On these days, power was restored in Yazoo City, just in time for an 88th birthday.

“It’s always darkest before the dawn” was written on a cup, and a heart made in the hot chocolate.

A buck was trapped between a fence and a pond, then jumped through the pond to reach the other side.

Red chairs glowed in the sunrise, and a woman danced in the cereal aisle to the song "500 Miles.

A shirtless father and son ran across the yard, followed by a dog.  A vintage red Cadillac pulled off the road.

Kids sang and danced to "Pink Pony Club," "California Girls," and "Country Roads" at a silent disco.

There was a great line: "They believed that all things planted rise toward the sun."

And an explanation: "We all just want to feel better."

All on these days.
